Granite Cleaning & Sealing You Can Trust—With a Solid 2-Year Warranty!

Did You Know Granite Must Be Sealed Every 3-5 Years?

More than 90% of granite damage is caused by oils, dyes, or water penetration, especially around sinks. This problem can be incredibly difficult and expensive to fix. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the risks until it's too late, and calling for help after the problem emerges can often be too little, too late.
What most people don't realize is that granite is a porous material, and to maintain its beauty and longevity, it needs proper cleaning and sealing every 3-5 years. Many off-the-shelf cleaning and sealing products fail to deliver results or are improperly applied by homeowners. Protect the beauty of your granite countertops—don’t leave it to chance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Granite Cleaning and Sealing

How often should granite be sealed?
The Natural Stone Institute recommends sealing granite every 1-3 years, but if done correctly using a high-quality sealer, you can extend that timeline to 3-5 years.
Why is sealing granite necessary if it’s already durable?

While granite is tough, it can still absorb liquids, leading to stains that are difficult to remove. Sealing provides a protective layer that prevents spills from penetrating the surface and keeps the stone looking its best.
How do I know if my granite needs to be resealed?

Granite should typically be sealed every 3-5 years. If you don’t remember the last time it was sealed, it’s best to get it done. Also, if you notice discoloration or dark spots after spills, it’s a sign that the seal has worn off and needs reapplication.
Can I seal my granite myself, or should I hire a professional?

While DIY sealing kits are available, professional sealing ensures even coverage, longer-lasting protection, and the use of high-quality sealers. Proper cleaning and preparation of the granite are crucial before sealing, as any residue, grease, or stains left on the surface can get trapped under the sealer, affecting its effectiveness. A professional will thoroughly clean and prep the surface to ensure the best results.
How to Properly Maintain Your Granite Countertops?
Just use warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or sponge. This simple routine removes food particles, grease, and spills while preserving the stone’s natural finish.
