Do you service my area?
We serve NY, NJ, CT, and PA. Not sure if we cover your area? Just ask us—we’re happy to help!
Who do you service?
Whether your space is residential, an industrial or institutional facility, a commercial building, or a property designed for the hospitality industry, we can service your natural stone, terrazzo, concrete, and tile and grout. From cleaning and sealing granite kitchen countertops in a single family residence to polishing the marble floors in a large hotel lobby to preserving and protecting the surfaces of a historic property, our highly trained technicians are thoroughly equipped to meet your needs.
Do you offer free estimates?
Generally, our estimates are provided free of charge. However, on occasion, certain estimates may involve a fee. Should you choose to proceed with us for the job, this fee will be fully credited to your final invoice.
What are online estimates and how do they work?
All our estimates are conducted online. Please provide photos of the areas requiring work. Capture each room in its entirety—step back as far as possible to include the whole layout in each picture. If there are specific areas that need special attention, please include close-up shots as well. For concrete polishing jobs, an approximate square footage of the area is also necessary.
Where should I send photos for a free online estimate?
You can either send to Julia at julia@marblepolishingexperts.com or to Bob directly on his cell phone at 845-283-9706.
What payment methods do you accept?
We currently accept cash, checks, and credits cards. We charge a credit card processing fee of 3.5%.
Do you offer stain removal services?
Yes, we do. However, we have found that in most cases you can remove the stains yourself with a little guidance from us.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance services?
We absolutely do! We can custom tailor a cost effective maintenance program that meets your needs.
What are dull spots on my shiny marble?
The dull spots on your shiny marble are probably from etching, which happens when something acidic, like juice or vinegar, touches the surface. But don’t worry! These spots can be polished out, and your marble will look as good as new.
Does marble need to be sealed?
Sealing your marble is highly recommended for two key reasons: First, if your marble contains metal, moisture can cause it to rust, leading to discoloration, such us in White Carrara. Second, oils, colorants, and other substances can penetrate the marble and cause stains. While some types of marble are more resistant to stains than others, it’s often hard to tell which ones are more vulnerable. That’s why we always suggest sealing to ensure your marble stays protected and beautiful!
How often should marble be polished?
Marble typically needs to be polished every 1 to 3 years, depending on how much it’s used. High-traffic areas might need a little extra attention, while less-used spaces can go longer between polishings. With regular care like sealing and cleaning, you can keep your marble looking shiny and beautiful for years!
How to clean and maintain marble?
Can I change the finish of my marble?
Yes, you can definitely change the finish of your marble! Whether you want a high-gloss shine, a semi-gloss for a softer glow, or a matte finish for a more understated look, it’s all possible. Just let us know the finish you’re looking for, and we’ll help bring it to life!
Do I need to seal my brand new marble?
Yes, it’s a good idea to seal your brand new marble! Even though it’s fresh and beautiful, sealing adds an extra layer of protection against stains and moisture. It helps keep your marble looking its best for longer, so you can enjoy its beauty worry-free!
